LEGO Skylines revealed bringing bricks to city blocks

It looks like my city building fantasies are all coming true

Listen, I build towers. That’s a LEGO imperative. Just keep stacking bricks until the whole line is unstable, baby. And then I’ll make another tower, or maybe a square building, or some type of bowlish thing. I don’t know, it’s fun. That’s what LEGO is, fun to build.

And so, it’s only natural that minifigs live in these towers and buildings and bowlish things — and that a video game would be how they all come together. Iceflake Studios and Paradox Interactive have come together to remind me why 8th Grade computer class was so awesome: Sim City and soldering chips…. err, LEGOs.

LEGO Skylines takes the City Skylines concept and bashes it somewhat obviously and potentially beautifully with LEGO, letting us create an open-ended experience and drop a bunch of minifigs in there to torture NURTURE them.

It looks great. No notes! Except when I can buy it. It still doesn’t have a release date when it comes to all modern platforms.
