The movie will be an original tale in the Zelda universe
The Legend of Zelda movie is sticking to just being titled “The Legend of Zelda.” Surprise!
But it’s for a reason.
During today’s special Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary direct Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that the movie will be using parts and pieces from across the Zelda mythos and games as opposed to sticking to just one known tale. That could mean a lot of interesting ways to tie the, uh, LEGEND’s story together.

The Legend of Zelda arrives in theatres on April 30, 2027.
