Get in the Halloween spirit with this selection of classic gaming tunes
Halloween (and Northern Hemisphere Autumn) is a goofy, fun time of year. From doughnuts and cider to haunted houses and costumes, I enjoy the general spookiness of it all. We have horror and monster films and TV on rotation right now, and have even been playing seasonal music, though sadly there isn’t much in the way of car friendly jams.
No worries, I’d rather take the matter into my own hands — with a video game twist!
We’ve compiled a Spotify playlist of some of our favorite game soundtrack tunes that we deem spooky, specifically from the Gamecube and before era, and are presenting it here to you to enjoy as well. Featuring jams from Castlevania, Mario, and from PC games and more, we’re hoping you can give it a listen and get into the festive mood.
Suggestions are welcome, as always, so feel free to leave a comment below or drop us a line on Bluesky or our contact page.
